The objective lens is, at its simplest, a very high powered magnifying glass, a lens with a very short central length. This is brought very close to the specimen being examined so that the light from the sample comes to a focus about 160 mm inside the microscope tube. This creates an enlarged image of the subject.

We have two eyes, each having its own projection of an image that we are looking at. These two images, when transmitted to the brain, fuse together and forms a single image with a remarkable amount of depth—three-dimensional perception. Some microscopes are named after the inventor of its concept of imagery and type of lens combination.

Our microscope line consists of transmitted brightfield illumination microscopes with higher quality objectives for optimal viewing. Several of our models include a trinocular photography port for attaching digital imaging devices for capturing microscopic photos. We understand that not every hospital or medical laboratory can afford a top brand microscope.
