The resort is situated on 750 acres of pristine meadows, which was the site of one of the largest working tobacco plantations in the state of Virginia. The mansion at Berry Hill Plantation, built in 1842, is considered one of the finest examples of Greek revival architecture in the country. The mansion serves as the center of activity for the resort including guest registration, and a talisman, which transforms guests and visitors into the elegance of Colonial past.
