You simply set it up on your wall and practice your martial arts techniques on it within your own home. You can train at your own pace and so practice your martial art at whatever time you wish. This is especially important for the new student training in karate, kung fu, tae kwon do and any other martial arts system.

People study martial arts for various reasons including fitness, getting rid of aggressions, mental/character development, and self-defense. The martial arts, perhaps due to a half-century of dramatic portrayals in popular media have been inextricably bound in the Western imagination to East Asian cultures and people. Martial arts are by no means unique to East Asia, however.
